What does a temporary nanny charge and do I pay her directly?
Our temporary nannies typically charge $18-$20 per hour. You will pay the nanny directly upon the completion of the assignment, either by cash or check. The nanny’s wages are separate from our agency fees.
How do I deal with taxes?
Since the nanny will be employed directly by your family, you will need to be aware of your obligations as a household employer. We are happy to answer general questions, or you may seek the help of a domestic payroll service such as:
What are the agency fees?
- $150 Registration Fee allows you access to our nanny services for a year.
- 30% ($25 per day minimum) Referral fee is applied once a nanny has been confirmed for your requested dates.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Once we have assigned a nanny to your job, the Referral Fee will be processed with no refunds. If an assignment is canceled with less than 48 hours notice, you will also be responsible for paying the nanny for 4 hours of the agreed hourly amount. If the nanny cancels due to illness or an unforeseen event, we will find a replacement, or apply a credit toward a future booking.
Is it possible to hire the same nanny for each assignment?
Though we cannot guarantee that the same person will be available for each assignment, we will do our best to honor special requests. We require that all scheduling is done through the agency; clients may not contact our nannies directly to request dates.
What if I decide to hire a temporary nanny on a permanent basis?
We are happy to apply the temporary fee to a long-term fee with certain restrictions. Please read our Temporary Referral Agreement for details.
Can I interview the temporary nanny ahead of time?
While there is not a formal client interview process for temporary nannies, once we secure a nanny for your assignment we will contact you to review her experience, qualifications and history with our agency. The nanny will call you prior to the assignment to introduce herself, discuss your child’s needs and gather any additional instructions.
