We used Stanford Park Nannies to find a nanny for our 6 month old daughter. At the time, my maternity leave was over and I was going back to work in a few weeks. We needed someone to watch our daughter while I was away. I didn't think we would be able to find the right person in the short amount of time. I was a new mom overwhelmed by the situation. Stanford Park Nannies lives up to its reputation for being an honest, professional resource. As a working Mom faced with the time-consuming task of screening the multitude of applicants you would get from an ad in the paper or on Craigslist, I decided my time was more valuable and talked to SPN.
Working with Daryl felt like I had engaged a high-caliber executive search firm that has done most of the legwork for you. Daryl is very professional, extremely organized, candid, and also respectful of my time. SPN's minimum requirements for nanny experience and certification automatically screens out candidates you wouldn't want to spend time with. I was able to phone-screen several candidates before deciding who to invite to our home for an interview. Yes, you'll get a variety of resumes and abilities, but every family's needs and personalities are different, and I'd rather have more to choose from than less to find the right fit. We are THRILLED with the nanny we found through SPN. And, she was able to start within 4 weeks of beginning our search during January--which is an off time of year. We found her after initially hiring a candidate that turned out to be not the right fit for us. (Btw, I think the SPN contract was quite clear. We expected to only recoup some of the fee we had paid when we decided to let the first nanny go. We were the ones who had decided to hire her, and so I take full responsibility for deciding after 3 months that it wasn't working out...I was surprised at one of the other reviewers who felt differently.)

As our needs changed, they have placed temporary nannies with us that have worked out great.
